Hi there

Im in the process of getting registered with Ofsted and am wanting to go on some courses in the meantime. I quit my job a few weeks ago and dont want to just sit around waiting for my registration to come through. I am going to do my first aid course and just wondered if anyone knows of any other good courses not only to look good on my cv to mums but also to give my confidence a bit of a boost aswel.

Thankyou x

Food Hygiene Course can be very useful, plus usually quite low cost. Can also be done online via places such as LearnDirect

If you are planning to care for babies, then doing a Maternity Nanny type course may be useful - though could be expensive.

If you do not have any formal childcare training, then consider starting a Level 3 CACHE course of some description. With Childminder Registration you have to do an introductory course, which you can then add to with further modules to make it into a level 3 qualification.

Safeguarding, Fire safety training, Food Hygiene, these are all pretty good starters.

Thank you for these. Ive had a look on the local college websites but cant seem to find any short courses, they are all year long courses etc.

Will have to have a look on net in general and see what comes up.

Thank you for your help
