Made redundant on maternity leave - 30 hours free childcare?

Hi all
My daughter has just been approved for her 30 hours free childcare in the same week that I went on maternity leave.
It's been strongly hinted that come May, June I will be made redundant. Obviously I won't be in a position to get a new job, will I lose my 30 hours?
I'm anxious as reducing to 15 would require I pull her out if nursery 1 day a week which although fine whilst I'm on leave it will make it difficult to return to work, her nursery has a 9 month waiting list!!!

I've just looked into the detail of 30 hours free childcare for other reasons and maternity leave is counted as working full time so you will be ok for the duration of maternity leave but not after unless you work at least 16 hours at the nmw.

Thank you @fedupandlookingforchange! Guess no time to relax after maternity leave then, will be straight back on it!

There is a grace period - either with your provider or the government, I can’t remember. I was made redundant in November just as my daughter was three and getting the 30 hours from jan, I’d already done my application. Luckily I did get another job reasonably quickly but I remember finding out about the grace period after and thinking I could’ve spent more time if I’d wanted to.
