Applying for tax free childcare, what do I need?

Can anyone explain the process of applying for tax free childcare. I start a new job in the new year after being at home with my ds for the last 18 months. Do I need to wait for payslips from this new job or can I apply before? Thanks

You can apply up to 30 days before. You have to have an expectation of earning at least equal value as 16 hours per week at minimum wage.
