AIBU to want to be SAHM?!

My DH has recently got a job a head teacher and earns a decent wage.
I earn around 21k a year working for the local council.
Now that he's got a jump in earnings, is it wrong all I want to do is start a family and be a SAHM? We have spoke but I don't think he realises how much I want that..

Not wrong at all. Do what is best for you, your husband and future family x

@alislim thank you, I just worry people will judge my choice x

I think many people would envy you, rather than judge you! Best of luck

Not unreasonable at all. Good for it!

If you are worried about what people think of your choices, you better carry on working.
If you couldn't give stuff being a sahm is brill.
They only judge out of jealousy, nobody would continue working if they won big money.

Is you dh happy with that I imagine being head teacher is a high stress job more so if that has to be combined with a new family and being the sole wage earner. I have nothing but admiration for sahp but sounds like you dont have DC yet? If not take it a step at a time and make sure dh and you are both together on your choices.

wineplease5839 · 29/11/2019 17:31

Aw this makes me feel happy!
@ricstar no no DC just yet; but hoping to have a little one soon..! Xx
