Nanny travelling with us on holiday - travel insurance?

Hello, I am presuming to purchase travel insurance for our nanny who is joining us on an adventure holiday. If she wants an alternative provider to our normal family travel insurance provider, for whatever reason, is it reasonable to expect her to bear that cost herself?

Yes, if she doesn't want to use your insurance then she can get her own .

Assuming your cover is adequate then yes she should pay the difference.

presumably you need insurance to reflect the fact that she is working and not on holiday?

Check with her that she isn't already covered. When I purchase insurance I tend to do it annually.

Yes you should cover her insurance cost. I found my own and employer covered it (i always go on compare the market and choose one of the cheapest)
