We are looking for after school care/housekeeping for approx 20 hours per week

We need a little help with our three children, the cooking and the housework after school (3-6:30 approx) during the school terms and full time (9-6:30 approx) during some school holidays. The children – two are teenagers - are all pretty independent but the youngest still needs picking up from Furzedown (year 5) and sometimes needs taking to a club or a friend. We need someone reliable, organised and ideally local.

I've tried posting on chatrooms, I've tried Koru, Gumtree and other agencies. I'm getting a little desperate. Any advice? We live in Tooting.

What about splitting the roles OP? Not every nanny keen being on up to the elbows in family laundry.

Do you have an extra room? Would an au oair be an option?

Have you tried posting on nappyvalley.net?

FAQs - that won't work for the the OPs situation, childminders work rom their own home.

I'm surprised you're struggling in London. But I'd agree, there isn't time in the 3-6.30pm slot to do any housework apart from tidying up. Just remove the housework aspect and the full days over the holidays and you'll be fine.
