Can I ask my host family, to pay me the money that was promised in the profile, but not in the contract?

I am currently an au pair in Austria, I am here for almost four weeks now. I came here through an agency, and in their profile, my host family said that they would pay 50% of the language course (the course was 380€ in total, so they should pay 190€ ), and also 112€ extra pocket money per month. However, in my contract, only the weekly pocket money and my working hours were included. I am wondering, do I have the right to ask them for these money, or not? And if I do, how should I do it, not to come out rude?

It's probably worth sitting down and asking them about this. If you can, don't do this via text message / whatsapp!

Did this offer come up in conversation when you spoke with them at interview? Is it possible the agency added the information in error and the family didn't know about this? Or it is possible it may have been missed off the contract by the agency.

if it is not in the contract then they are not obliged to pay so it is important to understand if there was an error and where it occured.

I think you can certainly ask about it. You could phrases like ‘I was just wondering.... is it still possible for half my language course to be paid as I thought it had mentioned that when I applied....” and just see what they say.
Is it a deal breaker? As in, if they are not going to and you knew that would you not have accepted the position? Or would it just be a nice bonus?

You could ask whether they have arranged the language course for you yet. They would probably pay the provider direct.

Thak you for the answers.
They filled in the profile by themselves, and they also said it during our Skype-interview, so I thought it is okay not to include it in our contract. It definately played a role, becouse I could save more money, but I wouldn't say that's why I chose them. I am going to call my agency tomorrow, and ask them as well.
