DBS question

My daughter has just finished her NVQ Level 3 at College and has landed herself a lovely Nanny job. She has a DBS from college but needs to now have it as self renewing. We went online and she cannot apply herself, it says the organisation she is working for has to apply on her behalf. Obviously, it is a family not an organisation. How do we proceed with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To get an enhanced DBS check which is on DBS update she will need to do a new enhanced DBS check. The update service cannot be added to an old check (it has to be done within 30 days of issue).

There is a guide for how a nanny can apply for a DBS check in England using the Ofsted online system.

If the family she is working for need to use childcare vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare then she will also need to register with Ofsted.
