Hi

I'm a childminder and looking to do a some kind of qualification this year. Does anyone know of any home based ones that are suitable for me? I;m wanting something as well that might open the doors for pre-school work in the future.

Hi
I'm currently doing an NVQ 3 in Childcare, Learning & education (old NNEB). I do it mainly homebased where the assessor comes to my home to see what I do. I occasionally go into the college for tutorials but they are evening.
Give your local college a call, see what they have on offer.
Its also worth approaching your loacl Early Years Team and NCMA Branch if you are a member to see if any grants are available in your area to help towards costs. I got a 50% grant for mine.
