Hi,
Those of you nannies that take your own child to work, are there any specifics I should have put in the contract?

Illness should be covered

If your kids are ill should she bring hers

And vice Versa

If her child is ill should she bring them ans possibly Infect yours

Equipment. Age depending. Buggy - double - highchair - travel cot

If their child damages anything, they replace

The ability to bring own child is reviewed after 3m and then every 6m.

In ours, the clauses specific to NWOC are around:

  • illness (basically treat as siblings)
  • equiptment (we have just worked this out between us though. We bought a double buggy and her DS uses our travel cot, she provids a car seat)
  • meals and snacks
  • outings
  • safety in the home (nanny is responsible for her child and we have no liability)
  • any damage to house by employees child
