Childminder in Brixton Hill/Streatham/Tulse Hill area

Hi

Can anyone recommend a childminder in the Brixton Hill/Streatham/Tulse Hill area? It would be for my baby son (currently 3 months old) either from December or January, probably for 3 days a week. Ta v much.

And I'm looking too. I've been using www.childcarelink.gov.uk to help me. Lots of OFSTED registed childminders in Lambeth with vaccancies on this.

There are some good childminders in the area. My son went to a childminder for 3 years in Brixton/Clapham - at the north end of Kings Avenue called Susan - she's a youngish grandmother and very experienced, very energetic, loves babies. My son called her 'nanny'. She's very mobile and flexible, but she may be thinking of retiring/moving soon as her husband is unwell. In emergencies I have also used a childminder on St Matthew's estate called Pat Coffey, also an older lady - she was recommended to me. She looks like Nora Batty and I don't think she likes talking to adults much but she is very kind and my children love her-she goes to 1-o'clock clubs etc. I now live in Streatham hill/tulse hill and there are a few well regarded local childminders. Try Jean in Wyatt Park Road - get her details from Lambeth childcare - she also runs the Wednesday and Friday morning drop-in play group at St Margaret's Church on Cricklade Ave. If she can't do it she might know others who can.
