Reasonable babysitting rates

My 14 year old has been asked by a neighbour to babysit for their 3 kids, aged 8,5 and 3. They have not suggested a rate.
She has no idea what rate to ask for.
I last babysat in the late seventies... also I never used a babysitter, so no clue what to say.
We live in Nottinghamshire.
Any suggestions please?

Teenage babysitters round here are about £5-6 per hour.

Have the parents asked for your DD to give a rate or will they just pay her what they think?

£5 per hour and £6 per hour after midnight.

DD said they asked her to sit for them but money not mentioned, other than they would obviously pay her.
Colleagues at work said £3 an hour but thought that was a bit low for 3 kids and oldest two will apparently not be in bed when she goes at 7.30pm. Don’t want her taken advantage of but don’t want her seen as a CF either.

£3ph is too low!!

Thing is if it is a regular gig at say £4ph and the kids are ok it may be worth it as there are few opportunities for a 14yo to earn money.

£3 is way too low. I was earning £2 per hour as a teenage babysitter 25 years ago.

£5 hour sounds reasonable. Last time I babysat was about 20 years ago when I was a similar age. I got £20 for the evening, 7pm til about midnight. I think they were very generous!

£5 an hour round here (minimum 4 hour booking so £20) also expected to provide pizza. Double after midnight.
