Hello
Am new to board and wanted some advice on evening childminding. Is there such a thing or do people use au-pairs??
I need someone to pick up my kids from nursery and put them to bed then stay until I arrive in from work at 8.30pm just for 2 days a week. Does anyone else do this??
Advice greatly appreciated Thanks

Would you not mean a babysitter - or nanny - as the childcare is provided at your own home, rather than at someone else's home.

Yes you need a babysitter, au pair or nanny. (childminders do sometimes do babysitting, but as most have their own kids, it may be hard to come by one for regular evenings in your own home.)

Is this a private nursery or a school based one? A member of staff from the nursery may be interested in this evening work, and they would be familiar to your children. It may be worth asking around.

Thanks for those replies. I think I do need a baby sitter really, but thats a good idea to ask at nursery to see if any of the girls would do it. Thanks for the tips.
