I'm going to do some work in the garden. Suntan lotion and hat on. Might even have some music playing. I'm going to be me all day! I'm having half an hour now and then I'll be back for lunch. Might even find some more nice cakes for you all!

Have a nice day everyone!

soak · 13/06/2007 09:47

its warm but clound here in brum - not that it matters to me stuck behind my desk all day whatever the weather !!!

it will be sods law that when I finally get registered the summer will have been and gone

never mind! I'm still looking forward to planning my days around the park, baking, dancing, singing, reading and painting to name a few!!!

soak · 13/06/2007 09:47

that was meant to be cloudy

PinkChick · 13/06/2007 09:49

well, last night i worked out IF i get these three other children on in september (6 month, 5yr, 6yr) i can wiggle it so i dont go over my current ratios(other than get dd changed to rising 5)BUT, it means on 3 days i will be bringing 7 children home on 15 min walk(prob longer with the kids!)..now baby and older baby will be in buggy, mindee(4), dd(4), Mindee(5), Mindee(6) and Mindee(9) will be walking.
dd, mindee(4) and mindee(5) will be very good walking along..the other two who i dont have yet, i dont know about?, 9yr old seems very responable, but 6yr old is a bit 'spirited' and am worried about roads etc with him?
wouold children this age(not 9yr old) 'accept' wearing wrist bands so i know theyre safe?
i think i will sign him up (if his mum wants to) and say we have 4 week settling in period(never had one before), then if i feel its too much, i can change mind with no penalty????

madge7 · 13/06/2007 10:45

Sounds good to me hun! Dont know about the wrist band though, I had a three year old with a very strong aversion to it, but if we were walking in a "pack" he was fine, he was happy to hang around the buggy etc.

Now I too MaureenMlove am on my third bloody day off this week (thank god I got that call yesterday about another newbie - phew! - or else feared the "argument" was gonna come up again with DH!!)

So right now I am just nipping in to see if there are any of those muffins left!!

Now off to sort the garden and might paint the playhouse!!....might!

crace · 13/06/2007 11:46

Hello all - busy day, hot as heck. Keeping kiddies inside, it's so hot. Bringing out the paddling pool in a bit and letting them run around naked! Naked babes, can't wait!

PinkChick · 13/06/2007 12:12

can i jusr ask, have i done the right thing?...mindee only with me till 2pm today, but once we got back from school run today she sadi she had tummy ache, went to loo(no 2), then back down..5 mins later got tummy ache, back on loo, says shes finished, then says she isnt and its all very loose IYKWIM..anyway, third time this happens i text mum telling her whats happend and ask her to collect her dd.

MaureenMLove · 13/06/2007 13:11

Phew its hot out there! I've done some tidying in the garden and been to the tip. I lifted a huge bag of solid plaster into the boot of my car and asked the guy at the tip to get it out for me. He went to lift it and said 'Blimey woman, did you have spinach for breakfast!' Bought a few plants on the way back, just to pretty it up a bit.
Now, I promised lunch didn't I, lets see what I can russle up!

MaureenMLove · 13/06/2007 13:15

Here we are Hows that for service then! Oh and this might soften the afternoon!

crace · 13/06/2007 13:17

MaureenMLove · 13/06/2007 13:22

MaureenMLove · 13/06/2007 13:24

So, Jan - have you got any mindees yet or are you waiting to get going?

jandeb · 13/06/2007 13:25

thanks, choc cake looks great

jandeb · 13/06/2007 13:28

2 boys to start next week, but mum just told me she has been offered a new job (shifts and weekends), this does not suit me. So not sure whats happening.

MaureenMLove · 13/06/2007 13:37

Thats a bit of a pita. Hope you manage to get it sorted. That'll put a real downer on your new job.

frankieb · 13/06/2007 13:37

Hi
Bit overcast in Cardiff today.
Wondered what you are all doing for Father's Day, rustled up a card this morning with a tie cut out of foam which was quite cute and did some blank cardboard ones for the little ones to decorate....any other ideas????
Quiet here till scool pick up as DS is in bed and other 2 mindees at afternoon nursery. Glad of that since I've now past the 30weeks stage of preg and feeling very fat and tired....
