Hello you lot! Morning

Straight to the point, anyone have a recipe for mince that isn't Spag bol or Cottage pie?

Have 500g beef mince from freezer that needs to go and need inspiration!

Crumbs that receip is long!! seems like a lot of faffinf, but really its fab and my freinds kids love it?? (go a bit easy on the chilli for them, haha!!)

Grab a granny night - my god girl, get out of it!!! Spend a lovely evening somewhere else!

soak · 12/06/2007 11:05

say you must have caught a 24hr bug from a mindee!!!!!

right! with regards to my bit on annual leave how does this sound??

I take up to 2 weeks unpaid leave a year, this is at my discretion. I will give at least 1 months notice.
If, however, our holidays co-inside this will still be charge at retainer price for the period you are on holiday. E.g. if my holiday is booked for 4th June ? 8th June and yours is booked 7th June ? 15th the retainer will be from 7th ? 15th but there will be no charge for 4th ? 6th.

soak · 12/06/2007 11:08

fifilou · 12/06/2007 11:11

just remember to text her/call her in the morning to let her know youre feeling REALLY rough, and that youve been up all night vomiting. (god i sound a bit too pro at this)

soak · 12/06/2007 11:13

a slight croak in the voice sounds a bit more convincing as well...

MaureenMLove · 12/06/2007 11:13

You've changed your tune - what happened to you'll have a blast Mo, life its for living Mo! Trouble is she's my friend and I have to go. Kbear is coming too and she doesn't want to go either! Anyway, enough of that.
I know the staff nurse in neonatal, I cm'ed both her kids, so thats a start. Shosh, made me think again about sticking with this job yesterday. There's not many jobs that'll let you do pretty much what you please everyday, is there? Just me hurtling twoards 40 in six months I think. Makes you take stock a bit.

MaureenMLove · 12/06/2007 11:15

Bug no good - I walk to school with her every day! Kbear needs to have whatever I have too - she wont go without me and vice versa!

madge7 · 12/06/2007 11:17

Then go, look fabulous and enjoy it!!
You never know they might not all be bald and sweaty and snubbing someone who is yummy is a real good feeling (if you want to snub that is....you know what I mean!!).

Wish I was bloody coming now!!

soak · 12/06/2007 11:18

could you or kbear get your OH to pick you up early???

crace · 12/06/2007 11:25

Tired children today - dd and mindee 1 sound asleep and mindee 2 tired, but she doesn't nap anywhere but at home so all I am getting is a whining sound from her. cccrrraaacceee, cccaaaannn IIIII hhhavvvee.. You get the idea

Oh dear, honesty the best policy? You are too tired, and not up to it?

MaureenMLove · 12/06/2007 11:36

I've spoken to Kbear and we've decided we are miserable old bags and should just shut up and go! Dh's to pick up not an option Soak, they're be babysitting won't they! Thing is we've danced on bars and flown half way across the world at the drop of a hat and partied HARD - when we were single and young. This friend didn't - so we will go with a spring in our step, laugh and be merry........and fall asleep on the floor at 10.30!

fifilou · 12/06/2007 11:40

you could always do five cans of red bull, have a shot of aftershock,a voddy, and a glass of chamapgne then party hard?

That way all the sleezy men will look like brad pit and god-hes-so-fit-daniel-craig.

crace · 12/06/2007 11:42

you never know, you might enjoy yourself. Otherwise, you are being a good friend

crace · 12/06/2007 12:28

I can't really see it about Daniel Craig - good looking, just not for me. And Jude Law all I can think of is that nanny thing. Sleezoid

I never use the recipe - but here we go

2lb mince
1cup breadcrumbs
2 onion finely chopped
1 dessert spoon curry
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (fresh is lovely)
1 egg
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk

Mix and put in a loaf tin 1 1/4 hrs gas 2/3

(but I use less mince more breadcrumbs)

Hot tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablesppon vinegar
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon instant coffee
1oz butter

Heat until butter melts and mix well

I pour some sauce over the meatloaf in the last 30 mins of cooking

Also sauce is nice over cauli, boiled potato or over something fancy like Pork fillet in pate & puff pastry
