Gift for childminder

Due to a house move, we will be leaving our childminder for new arrangements after 5 years.

I want to buy her a nice thank you gift but I'm really stumped on what to get. Does anyone have any suggestions or something they bought / received that was particularly appreciated?

TIA.

It depends what she likes doing I've had vouchers for dinners, manicures, Hair cuts, One family brought a dinner cruise along the Thames, Home made cards with child saying what they loved about time with me. Plants, Pandora charms what I don't need is anything for work that takes up 60 hours a week of my time so a gift for work isn't really a thank you for me.

Have you got photos of the children from 5 years ago and now, that you could make into a thank you card? We did that when we finally stopped using our childminder and was more appreciated than our present (and I forget what that was now!)

Most childminders now have loads of photos of mindees and often make photo books for leaving families documenting their time as a leaving gift. But we are no longer allowed to keep any for ourselves unless we contact families regularly to get their permission again (GDPR) I have passport size photos of every child I've had over 25 years and no room for anything bigger practically I can not legally add to it thanks to new rules

I’m a childminder and the thing I love best when children leave is a lovely thank you letter or card. Bonus points if it’s home made and written by the children themselves!
If you want to buy a gift flowers are always welcome and if you want to splash out a voucher for afternoon tea/restaurant is always appreciated! 🙂
