Well it's friday, counting down the hours to the weekend and my mindee doesn't come until 8.30 this morning.
I am going to have my breakfast and see what time DD gets up again.

Last day for all my mindees today . Move house on monday . The DSes last day at their school today

Sadness and stress all round in the saltire household today

Had breakfast and morning coffee. Time for shower, then car has appointment at the car doctors, so need to limp it there once rush-hour has calmed down a bit.

I will then be stuck in Woking for a few hours (anyone local to the area, can I come over for coffee?). Will probably hang out in one of the numerous coffee shops, once I've done some birthday gift shopping. With luck car will be fixed and I'll be back home in time for lunch.

Are you having a party day Saltire? A sort of going away, leaving school party?

saltire, I don't know what it's like to move from all your friends and family, as I only moved 1 mile from my parents house when I got married (I am a chicken).

It shouldn't take long to find some people down there to be friendly with once the children start school.
Just a shame you couldn't come further along the coast to Poole, I would have made you very welcome. Is there any other childminders/parents on here that live there could show you around?

No idea what we're doing today really, i'll have 6 children for most of it and will let them lead the way, i'm hoping we can get out for a bit this morning before the thunder and rain starts.

Saltire - It was sad enough when my first mindee left in Feb so I really feel for you with moving area, schools, mindees going etc. Remind me where you're moving to?

Nannynick - I don't think I'm quite local enough but if I was, you'd be more than welcome - I reckon I owe you with all the help you given me and my family over time!

LMG's - what am I doing???? Having a nervous breakdown already!!! Ds is seriously driving me mad - had heartburn all afternoon and night yesterday and I'm already tense this morning. It started 10 mins after mindee (3) arrived - always happens since she started AND........my crying baby isn't here yet (due 9.30) and on top of the normal cries, she's not well too (got virus of some sort) so she's crying even more at the moment - poor thing I'm so looking forward to 6pm!!!!

Saltire I've been thinking of you moving house is horrible, so stressful

I've got just the one mindee today, my mum has whisked my boys out for a last jolly before return to school on Monday. So we have been painting and sticking, been to the village shop and now he's playing with the brio train track.

We managed to get out to the park to feed ducks and play, got back to find 6th mindee had turned up half an hour early with no warning, i was hoping to make lunch before they arrived oh well!

2 mindee's have been biting and hair pulling any ideas on what to do?

What a bloody horrible morning - nightmare! Anyway, 3 yr old was only 8-12 and baby been sent home so I'm sitting here working on websites as I've got LOADS to catch up with and never seem to get enough time! I've promised ds that after a little bit of work, I'll take him out to buy his first ever toy with pocket money - he's now got £13 in the pot and when I told him he had enough for his Spiderman Web Blaster........well..........never seen him so excited - was singing and dancing around the room and he can't wait to go out and get it. Bless him, he deserves a bit of 1:1 after the last couple of days!!

Its been so hot here all day! I've had to smother all children in suncream, we've been to the park, fed ducks etc

AARRRRGGGGG!! I hate that arrogant pig of a grandfather!!!! That's better, breathe! Mindees grandfather has just collected him for his 'dads' weekend. Apparently, mindees mum did the dirty, which is why they are now divorced. So every other Friday, mindee goes to his dads and the grandfather picks him up from me. It is very tense between the grandparents and the mother and they see me as a friend of the mother clearly, because he is so rude to me! He doesnt say anything. Just rings on the bell, then wanders off back to the car and waits for mindee to join him! Poor mindee is 7 and he is so embarrassed by it, I an just tell. Told mother and she has tried to tell them, but they hate her. Its a good job its only every other Friday and the fact that it means I finish 2 hours early!!
Anyway, enough of me, everyone had a good day?

Hello there! Good job you didn't look in yesterday, I don't think we even opened the doors on the staff room! Did you have a good trip? Its been quite quiet in the staff room this week, Crace is still away and everyone has been busy trying to keep mindees happy in the rain.

Have finally sorted my Summer schedule, I think. At least I've emailed the playscheme organiser telling her which days I can do, so that is a start.

Car is back from the garage... went shopping and I'm wondering if there is still a leak. I hope not, with luck just left over drips from having the leak fixed. I hate it when things go wrong with the car - it's only 4 years old, surely cars should be built to last a bit longer than that.

Thank god thats over (just had to give notice), I'm totally ready for bath and wine!!!!!!!!

I said there was a combination of reasons for it not working out, she was fine about it, i think she was expecting it tbh. i'm soooooooo relieved now, it's like massive weight has been lifted.

Its made with lemons, sort of like cointreau (cept cointreau is made with oranges) came all the way from sunny cyprus and is vv nice on the rocks [hic]. My DSs are having a sleepover at my mums tonight so I can get sloshed. DP is out somewhere pottering at the moment. Down the hatch Mo cheers
