Funded pre school hours advice please

I have an almost 3 yr old and a 16 month old. I was speaking to pre school about 30 hrs funding for the 3 yr old and then about a space for the younger one next year. Pre school told me that I wouldn't be eligible for the 30 hours for the 3 yr and AND the 15 hrs when the baby is 2. She said I could only be eligible for one? Does anyone know if this is the case?

Well, under what criteria would you receive the 2 year funding?

I think you both need to be working at least 16 hours to get 30 hours funded at age 3/4, but have to receive certain benefits to get. 15 hours at age 2 so it’s unlikely and maybe impossible to get both. Even if you are not eligible for 30 hours at age 3/4 you still get 15 hours at this age which has no criteria.

Thank you. I'm not sure, that's why I'm asking. I work pt and receive tax credits. Does anyone know if the income limit for this situation is wages AND tax credits together? I think it might be but its not clear, to me anyway.

You need to look on the childcare choices website.

Thank you Georgie, I have. It's not clear, hence my question here.
