Thinking of hiring an au-pair... Polish?

My wife and I have three adopted daughters aged 8, 7 and 5. We might be adopting #4 in July. Their bio mum is Polish and we would love for our girls to have some sort of connection to Poland as I feel it is very important. I am mixed race and adopted myself and know nothing of my bio dads country and culture.

Is this a good idea?

Its maybe a good idea for the future, but au pairs tend not to stay that long and if your new DC has had a difficult start in their lives, a transient au pair may not provide the stability that they need.

My friends had a polish au pair and they were very happy with her
It took a moment to get used to her being very direct (even for europeans!) but she was so caring and loving! also she was very tidy and help out with many house chores. I'm sure If you'd like she can speak some mother language to the baby, reach you basic phrases and help you understand Poland, it's culture and traditions.
