hi
can i register as a childminder on a domestic and non domestic premises.

i currently nanny and i am looking to go self employed and work as a childminder and do ad hoc to work to gain a better work life balance and do what I really love and not work a near 60 hour week.

I live in a 2 bed maisonette and while i don't mind working from my home at all i don't want it to put parents off either so being able to offer a bigger premises and more activities etc

Can anyone offer any advice

The childminder I use doesn't have a very big space at home so goes to groups on a morning, for example my DD goes to playgroup with her childminder the 2 days she's there. I really like this set up as when she goes to playgroup she gets to interact with a lot of children and has a huge area to play in but then also gets the intimate care of a childminder and goes back to the home environment for lunch and the afternoon.
