pre-reg meeting

I am already booked to attend the pre-reg meeting in June (which seems ages away!) but ideally I would like to attend the meeting they are holding on Monday.
I have called pretty much every day to see if someone has cancelled but they haven't

do any of you think it would be ok to turn up to the meeting place just incase someone cancels at the last minute?

If it's not far for you to travel and you have the time to hang around, then I'd go. I think there were a couple of people that just didn't turn up to mine or were very late!!

thanks mogs! its on my way to work (have booked the day off though as work dont know!) so if it does turn out that everyone arrives I'll just carry on to work and use my day off on the next meeting (which I am booked on!)

Sure, why not, I would!

I called earlier to see if it would be ok and the reply from the council (who apparently send out the letters and stuff but dont actually run the meeting?!) was 'its not the usual policy'

am going to turn up anyway - if they are full, they are full and I will drag myself to work, if not I will be that 1 step closer to leaving a job I hate for a job I would love to do!

I dont see that it makes any difference surely, unless its in a tiny room with only a few chairs!!! Turn up and just act dumb, like oh didnt know I had to book a place but I am here now does it matter? So long as they have enough paperwork cos thats where you get the forms for registering, I think!!! Best of luck with it

soak · 11/05/2007 16:54

lol!!!! look dumb - I can do that no problem!!!!!!

mumlove · 15/05/2007 13:19

Excellent - now you can start all the paperwork.

mogs0 · 15/05/2007 21:10

Glad they let you in!! At least you'll be a month ahead now!!

soak · 16/05/2007 08:47

I know!!! I was hoping to be up and running by the main school hols which might still be possible so long as I keep on top of nagging people for references and checking with mortgage people that there is nothing to say I cant childmind from my house!!!

will now be spending my weekends going round the neighbourhood asking if they are interested in my services once I am registered!
