been looking on ebay at these people selling portfolios and policies. are they any good, has anyone ever purchased.
i was always happy with mine but it seems to be getting more and more about how good your paper work is and how long your policies are and i just dont feel very confident with mine now.

i bought some when i first started, just to see what i may have been missing out on, but TBh most of us here could pass some on to you..i re did my own with help from the girls(and nannynick!) on here, so wouldnt bother paying now!

I am sorry for being dim but why do you wnat to buy a policy from EBAY?

Read the childminders website for ideas

look on here

I know someone who bought policies from ebay, and I was really cross with her! Most childminders are happy to share their policies, and she could easily have adapted mine (and anyone else's) to suit her own circumstances.

I wrote my own policies originally but, over time, have added or changed wording when I've read something elsewhere. Many CMs have their policies on their websites, so it's easy to get an idea of what you need to have.

The NCMA website now has example policies too. Go to here and click on Downloads then you'll see 'NCMA Sample policies for childminders'.

HTH, good luck!

Now that's a way to make money! Homemade playdough is SOOOOO cheap to make, and easy! Odd what people sell on ebay!

Glad the ncma ones were helpful, I think a lot of us panic with Ofsted in mind - I know most of my mindees parents are happy if their children are cared for in a safe loving environment, they are not worried how many or the content of our policies/info sheets, baulk at the amount of permission forms there are and are amazed at the hoops we have to go through just to be a cm....
