Anyone recruited an au pair recently? Are there are still fewer potential au pairs applying to come to the UK?

Our au pair has suddenly announced he is leaving in four weeks. Feel he has been really deceitful about his motivations for the last few months but hey, that's another story!

I am looking into childcare options, including getting another au pairs. I just wondered whether anyone had recruited or tried to recruit an au pair recently and if so whether they knew what things were like in terms of whether there were plenty of applicants or not? Last time round it was extremely hard to find someone (because of Brexit, terrorism etc) and I wondered whether things were still like that now. TIA!

You may find a better response on the other options for childcare. People using or offering a childminder service are less likely to use au-pairs.

Good point, I didn't realise there was a separate au pair option. Thanks!
