Childminding is professional childcare in a childcare’s home. They are registered, regulated and trained in first aid with dbs checks and background checks.

Babysitting is evening care ad hoc in the child’s home.

I’m slightly dubious about your question tbh...

A childminder normally an Ofsted registered childcare professional. They are trained and monitored and for pre school age children required to follow the same eyfs curriculum as nurseries. A babysitter may have not qualifications, is not checked and only works in the parent/s home. Normally a babysitter just works for a few hours at a time and normally older children.

Thanks x looking around for a childminder for my son..... I've seen a couple of ofstead registered providers that offer both childminding and babysitting so was just wondering.
