Can anyone tell me if it is the norm to give your au pairs Good Friday and Easter Monday off?

Why wouldn't you? They are public bank holidays.

Where we live Good Friday is not a public Bank Holiday but to be honest I would feel a bit mean if we didn't give her the time off. My husband is lucky enough that his company gives him the day off but most don't.

if my dh is here to help me, my au pair gets the day off. If he has to work, then so does she potentially. However, because it's school holidays she has virtually nothing to do anyway (most of her duties are school-run related).

Happy to give her the days off then.
Just wanted to double check. Thanks everyone.
