Cant get a childminder!!

I am panicking! Start work soon and cant get a childminder, the after school club is full and im boggled as to where to turn. Any ideas?? Im in stafford and have tried all the websites but theres nothing in my area. Just want for an hour after school.

Have you spoken with the Childrens Information Service? They may have a list??
Also if a childminder says they dont do your school or dont drive, if your desperate u could get your child to get taxi to childminder if old enough.
