What days (if any) are you taking?

i'm off good friday and easter monday
then i will be working the tues/weds/thurs/fri
then i'm on hols for a week with my boys

mojosmum · 27/03/2007 17:40

i only take bank holidays off

crace · 27/03/2007 17:43

And are most parents off then? I have it in my policies that I am off on bank holidays, but feel bad for asking for that time off. I know most parents have the day off, don't they?

most do but its booked as hols in my jan letter so parents normally sort it if they are not off

Eleusis · 27/03/2007 17:48

Those are bank holidays, so I think you are well within your rights to tske them off.

Anyone with a staff / salary position probably has them off. People who work shifts or do things like nursing, police, etc. probably don't have them off.

dmo · 27/03/2007 17:50

dont feel guity
if it is your policys and the parents have read and understood then there shouldnt be a problem, they asked you to be their childminder once they knew all your fees/hols/days off
enjoy your long weekend

ShoshableEggEater · 27/03/2007 17:57

Take all Bank hols, at half pay.

ayla99 · 27/03/2007 17:59

I usually take Good Friday, Easter Monday & another 4 days. This time I'm working up to Good Friday then just working 1 day the following week.

saltire · 27/03/2007 18:05

I am taking next Thursday, Good friday, Easter Monday and the Tuesday off. I'm lucky though that all but one set of my parents are military so at least one parent will be off, so i don't need to feel guilty. In fact i only have one mindee for the whole of the second week of the holidays

mogs0 · 27/03/2007 19:40

I'm the same as Saltire. I'm off to the beach Thursday, back to work on Weds!! Yipee!!!!
