Panic setting in...

now that national offer day is behind us, are parents with dc due to start school in September frantically looking of after-school/ wrap-around care options? Or have they already done this months ago? I'm trying to supress the sense of panic I'm feeling while I wait for childminders to return my calls.
Any childminders in SE4 on here?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I am looking and struggling to find childcare. The after school club is completely full with a long waiting list. Why they didn't tell me this when I looked around is beyond me. There are no child minders with vacancies who will pick up from the school. It's a nightmare. Hoping I can defer the school place until next April.

My dd1 went to the school that her cm could do a school run to.

I had to find additional cover for dd2 for a few months and it was a nightmare, I nearly thought I wouldn't be going back to work.

Thankfully dd1 cm then had space for dd2.

What was the setup for your dc before now?

Maybe try contacting local nurseries, some of them run after school clubs too.
