After School Care

We're looking for just that - after school care, 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. Ideally I'd like a French speaker who could give the kids French lessons.
Where do you find people for this? I'm a total beginner at it and I wondered, should I use an agency (they all seem to have very mixed reviews and be very expensive) and if so which one? I had in mind a uni student, but where's the best place to find one? We're London-based.
All advice much appreciated.

Childcare.co.uk or gumtree, a local forum or an additional on a local noticeboard / newsagent.

Ad on. Not additional.

Thanks. I've always been a bit weird about gumtree, but I'll give it a go.

Try using KidSitter. They are very friendly and easy to use.
