I am starting to do a bit of occasional babysitting whilst at uni and just wanted to check re: overnights.

Based in midlands, charging £10ph day and eve babysitting. How much is reasonable for overnights?

Depends what parents are willing to pay. Given your daytime fee, then 11pm-6am is probably about £40-£50 flat rate. If it is a young baby, twin babies, more nightnannying - so you being up all the time, then your usual rate all through the night.

So if older children where you are likely to get some sleep, then say 8pm-8am would be:

8pm-11pm = £30
11pm-6am = £45
6am-8am = £20
Total: £95
Something like that.

Thanks so much. That's really helpful. Will have a chat with the parents.
