I posted another thread about one parent who said that she had wanted to get me chocolates or wine, but her DH had said no, they pay men enough, and he wasn't going to spend more money one me!
As someone said on another post, it's not aboput receiving gifts, but about being appreciated. The mindee i am referring to, is a gorgeous little boy. I have been very flexible with his parents, i've had the boy for extra hours, to fit around his dad's courses, his dad is away for the whole of january, so will have him extra again, and not even a card saying "thanks".

I didn't get anything either - though I bought my two p/t mindees something small.

I did get a lovely card from her saying thanks for making work bearable and they were happy here. Much rather have that then a present!

I think it's right that it's not about the presents (or lack of) it's the respect and appreciation. I think it's shocking that Santasaltires mindees parents are so appallingly unappreciative. Some people just don't get it.. we are only looking after their children! When I was working and had childminders I used to always go on about saying thank you and what great jobs they were doing.

Have just read what i wrote in an earlier post. It should read "they pay me enough" not pay men. I didn't want you thinking they were weird

ive got mindee one a jacket(velour with hood pink thing) not expensive and a bag which fantastically has her name on, she has a most unusual name and this name on the bag is meaning something else, but it says xxxx girl(her name first), so think its fab!..does this sound enough?

got mindee 2 a board game, santa biscuit, large christmas jelly sweet?

am hoping this is 'enough'????
