I had mine in June on the same afternoon she rang to tell me it was due and to ask my availability! She was big on SEF and how I evaluated everything. She wanted to see a planned activity including any observations I made. She was big on communication with parents and how I included them. She didn't really look through paperwork and spent ages on the floor with me and the kids just talking to them. She liked that they could access outside and that was an area she said I could improve by putting letters and numbers up round my garden (partner thrilled at that lol). I got a good and she was here around 4 hours. It was fine and you will be fine!

  • make sure all your child protection information/action plan/ contact numbers are up to date
  • evidence of good communication with parents
  • evidence of planning
  • evidence of observation
  • evidence that you respect and take into account British values in your planning and activities
  • certificate for first aid, food hygiene, any training.

Have you got an up to date SEF?

Inspector was here 6 hours and went through everything, all paperwork and questioned me in depth on many topics.
