Quick legality question please

Can I pay an unqualified 16yr old minimum wage to come and sit my 3 kids at home 4hrs a day in summer holidays? Youngest will turn 8 at beginning of next summer holidays so would such an arrangement have to wait until his birthday? I don't earn much more myself so this is the only solution I can think of.

Yes you can and no you don't have to wait until his birthday.

I have an SN kid that wouldn't cope with a childminder's busy life but would be fine (and asleep half the time) at home with no more demands than breakfast!
