Do au pairs need to register with the GP or do they use their E111?

We have an au pair (for the first time) who will be with us for 6 months. Can anyone tell me what au pairs need to/should do re GPs - do they register or can they just turn up at a GP's with their E111?

Admittedly it was yonks ago, but I had to register with a GP.

Just prepare your au pair that he or she might be getting letters from the GP. I got an invitation to a smear test, didn't understand it and showed it to my host dad who nearly died of embarrassment Grin

Get her to register with your Gp. Bring id, E111 form and some kind of proof of address. I usually go with ours, show my proof of address and its easy.

Register her with your GP (very simple). Also useful to register her with your library.
