Hi there, I am a bit of a lerker but wondered whether there may be some interest in my inspection that was carried out today - as you are all aware I am not allowed to give full details until the report comes out but it was a positive experience, She arrived at 10am and left just after 12, I tried to show her as much as possible including a range of resources and activities I am lucky enough to have a playroom which is set up with art work and photos and areas which meet the EYFS. She asked abut my safeguarding training and when I told her I did the level 3 training she just asked if I was confident, I told her that until you get a disclosure you don't know how you will handle it but I hope the training kicks in and that my Safeguarding policy is there with all the information on it to help me. she was very keen on hearing about working with other settings and I showed her all my books and reports I keep and all the visits to other setting that I make, She spent a lot of time watching me with the children and asking about my relationships with families - I was very positive about all of them - I wa surprised after understanding that risk assessment aren't require to be written that she asked to see them luckily I had written ones, she asked about Fire evacuation procedures which I showed a book with written evacuations done over the last year and a half (I have been a CM for 8 years) She asked about my SEF I told her I kept doing the OFSTED one but everytime I went back to review it it had been moved about, so I made my own folder with SEF bits in like audits and just notes about improvement I am going to make and improvement I had made already she seemed happy with this. I probably haven't covered half of it but any questions please ask and I will do my best to answer x
