Ofsted-registering nanny: Can employer fill in ID check form for DBS?

As per title.

We are Ofsted registering our nanny. Done Common Core skills and First Aid.

Now we need to complete DBS online. One of the steps is to verify her ID. The guidelines show a list of professions of people who can do ID check for her. Me and my husband fit the criteria.

Can we fill it ourselves as her employers then? We've known her for over 12 months already.

Ta.

If you fit the profession criteria I can't see why not. You are verifying identity.

I thought it was 2 years (if this is capita online)?

No. She needs someone who has known her in a professional capacity for 2 years. Doctor, solicitor etc.

My ex-boss from 14 years ago, who is a solicitor signed mine.
