Could you ask your Spanish au-pair which agency she used?

Hi, Mumsnet readership!

My cousin would like to find a position as an au-pair when the next school year starts. She will be nearly 18 and because she wants to become a primary school teacher, she would like to gain some experience with kids and improve her English at the same time.
Her mum has tasked me with the job of finding the best way to go on about doing this (since I'm the niece who lives in the UK...) and I've already found au pair world as a started but I think her mum wants a bit more of reassurance and would like to go through an agency.

Looking through the existing threads I've found a couple of well-spoken for agencies here in the UK, but when I look into their webpages, they say that they get their applicants through their Spanish agency partners. My question is: if you have/have had a Spanish au pair and are happy with the experience, could you please ask her what agency did she get in contact with?

I'm interested on either nation-wide ones or any based in the south (Andalucia/Malaga).

Thanks a ton!

We recruited all our Spanish au pairs via au pair world. I was put off by agencies high fees and lack of service.

I had all my Spanish aupairs via Aupair world as well.

OK, I'll tell them to go down that route :)
Thanks!

If her mum wants reassurance maybe she can ask to speak to host family? (If she speaks English of course) I would have been very happy to do that.

I also sent my id to my au pair once I had recruited her so she had reassurance that we were who we said we were.

Yes, fluffymouse, I've told them to organise a Skype call with any prospective families. I imagine families would also like the chance to meet (if only virtually) the prospective au pair.
