Hello lovely people I need some help please! My ex partner reported me to the police for an assault(he said I have slapped him on the face).Police knocked on my door and took me to the police station!Got interviewed and released without a charge due to lack of evidence(he didn't press any charges too)Im now scared that I wont be able to get a nanny job/as it may show on my enhanced crb check! Its eating me alive as I have never been arrested before(I have a clean record no warnings, cautions, never been banned from working with the children)Im very good at my job!I just don't want this to ruin my job!Thank you

If you did not accept a caution, then an arrest won't show on the DBS to my knowledge. It might be logged on the PNC and might be provided as info if they considered it to be a problem for you working with children.

Make a note of the situation, what happened, who you spoke with, time and dates. Keep that on file so should in future you need to do anything you can refer back to detailed notes of the situation.

Useful info here about what is made available on a DBS check (an arrest is if relevant to the position applied). Read that plus the link on there to Filtering.

Be prepared to tell current/future employers about the situation if asked. You don't have to disclose the arrest but it may appear on the DBS and thus you may then be asked about it.
