Half term activites

Any ideas? Our au pair is going to do more hours on half term and I don't want her and the kids to just sit in front of the telly. So far, we're thinking ice skating, swimming, football in the park and funfair. Any other ideas? (No museums or cinema please, they've done too much of that already)

Look for local Halloween activities.

Does she like doing craft or cooking activities? There are loads of ideas on Pinterest for crafts for children, especially with it being Halloween next week, there's loads of activities they could do.

We are doing Halloween crafts on Monday - hand print ghosts, spiders and salt dough models.

Tuesday we are off to a local farm for pumpkin carving

Wednesday we are doing an autumn walk and leaf printing

Thursday is softplay and baking and Friday another Halloween fun day, decorate the house and garden, Halloween tea and trick or treating.

Go on a bear/gruffalo hunt in the park?

I give my children a bag each and they fill it with things they liked, leaves/twigs/flowers and then we go home and make a picture out of them.

Baking, pumpkin pasties? I made these today, they were delicious!! We used shop brought puff pastry, roasted yellow pepper and pumpkin, when cooked mixed with Philadelphia an grated cheese, then spooned onto pastry, 25mins in oven at 180c, delicious!!

Look on Pinterest for good autumn paint crafts.

Where are you? there's lot of activities on net mums.

But i've just given our au pair her schedule for next week and suggested she might like to go with another au pair on a few outings.
