Nanny for a Weds plus one other day...which day would be best...?

....and will I find someone if I only want 2 days, but one of these is a weds / midweek and therefore preventing nanny working a run of days elsewhere? (Most seem to be busy M-W or Tu to Thurs already)
My own job will be 2 days per week, but I have to work Weds. Ideally for my work situation, I'd like weds & Fri - but what are my chances of finding a nanny to fit that split pattern?
Should I go for weds & thurs instead?
Or perhaps even Weds, Fri & a half day thurs where I can then spend a bit of 1:1 with 1 DC while nanny takes the other?
Thanks for any insight.

Are you able to decide the days later, so advertise Wed plus choice of Tue/Thur/Fri and see who applies.

I work Tuesday & Wednesday for one family. Admittedly it took a while to find another job to fit but I've done that now.

Can't you advertise for 2 days a week, one of which needs to be Wed? That would icnrease the number of possible people who could apply?

Wed is the busiest day at Nursery tho, so I think your right, the requiring wednesday might be restrictive.

Good Luck.

Tue wed then Nanny may be able to do a thur fri job

Bang in the middle of week ie wed will be hard to fill but agree say 2 days in ad and one must be wed and flexible on the other

I have a Monday and Friday child, which is fine with me!

I think you can only advertise and see what response you get. Possibly a childminder may be better than a nanny, so that they don't have to find another family, having said that nannies are often more flexible.

Advertise and see what you get! I have only ever used childcare.co.uk but I've always found lovely parents on there

I have a Monday,Wednesday and Friday job and are looking at the moment for a Tuesday and Friday job as my charge is off to boarding school,(Sevenoaks area)I am sure you will be able to find someone,It is just if you need someone soon,it may take a while to find someone.

I think 2 days is actually a good amount, since a lot of mums go back to work 3 days a week, so yours should fit with another job.

The difficulty is that if a nanny has an existing 3-day job, it could obviously be any three days - so you will get more responses if you're able to leave it as flexible as possible at this stage. Can you hold off deciding which other day until after you've found a nanny?

Agree that the more flexible you can be now, the more nannies you'll get responding to your ad. Can you ask for "Wed and one other day, preferably Fri but can be flexible" and see what responses you get?

I also have a Wed and every-other-Fri job on top of my Mon/Tue/Thur/every-other-Fri FT position. I think there are a lot of nannies who work three days a week and would love to fill those gaps with a job like yours
