Contract and tax, NI, for live in mother's help

I have just moved to the UK and have decided to employ a mother's help without using an agency.

I can easily find information on what both parties can expect re duties etc, but I am having difficulty finding information on the contract (would love a template), salary, tax and NI as I guess she would be paid above the threshold and probably a native English speaker with a driving license.

All replies appreciated.

Nannyjob.co.uk has a contract you could adapt.
Look on acas.org.uk for Written Statement to find out what the contract must include. ACAS also has information about Holiday entitlement, holiday pay.

There are various payroll companies, payefornannies.co.uk gets mentioned on here quite a lot. Taxmatters, nannypaye, nannytax are some others.

Salary needs to be at least National Minimum Wage. That varies by age. Info on gov.uk
Agree a gross salary (that is the salary before tax deductions).
