oh good.:-)

Think maybe dad should hire a cleaner who will also do the laundry. Maybe you could recommend one for him? And maybe you could offer him a few more services you don't normally provide (for a fee), like to organise the milk, keep the bottle, sterilise them, maybe have an extra couple of sets of clothes for his kids that youkeep washed and available at your house. It might make his life a lot easier, and you might make a bit of extra money.

dmo · 19/09/2006 11:25

i got a sterlizer the othe day from motercare with 3 bottles in so i use those when baby is here and sterlize the bottle he gives me in the mornings
strawberry has gen offered some clothes which i will use for them here
dont want extra money from him just want to help him think he needs all the money he gets

dmo - ive got a lot of baby clothes im trying to get rid of - birth - 12 months if it will help for the younger one. Been following your threads and realyl feel for this guy.

i also have some lovely winter coats for the younger one if needed.

Uwila · 19/09/2006 11:30

DMO, where are you? I could probably arrange some donations as well. I haven't got tons of stuff, as I have already given much of it away. But, I am soon headed to Chicago and am bringing lots of 12 month clothes to my sister. However, they won't all fit in the suitcase, so I could donate what I can't take anyway.

staceym11 · 19/09/2006 11:33

again, loads of baby girls clothes, 0-12 months if you're interested? how a monther could leave her baby i dont know, i cant imagine my dh looking after dd on his own, he'd be in a worse state than this poor man!

SOULGIRL · 19/09/2006 11:41

I dont know if this is any help but if you are not allowed to specifically ask about social services etc. on the form you fill in at the playgroup my son goes to they have a question along the lines of "are there any other family circumstances affecting your child that we should know about" if you say that this is to help you tailor your service to the childs best advantage then I dont think most people would take offence!

May not have the wording exactly right as it was a while ago!

dmo · 19/09/2006 13:27

cheers guys i'm in Preston

Dear dmo

I cam across your thread by chance. I have a baby daughter who is 18 weeks old. We where very fortunate before she was born we received lots of lovely hand knitted cardigans. If it would be of any help for the wee baby of 5 months I could post them to you before the weather changes? My email is [email protected]. I would be only to happy to help.x.

dmo · 01/10/2006 00:26
