My first child is currently at nursery but I have recently had a second LO and am now considering childcare options for when I return to work. I have heard that Asquith nurseries have recently launched Asquith Nannies and am wondering if anyone out there has had any experience of them and whether they can recommend them. Thanks.

All I know is that it is a combination of care at nursery and at home.

Would love to know more of how it works, sovwatching thread.

My dcs are at Asquith nursery and my understanding is that some of the staff at certain branches will act as a nanny before and after nursery hours, so come to your house and presumably help with nanny type things in the morning, then they'll y take your dc to nursery, do their ' normal' job working at the nursery and then di the same in reverse after nursery. It's only available at a couple of branches though from what I know.

My previous nursery deputy manager had been an asquith nanny. She had to wear the asquith uniform and did usual nanny duties. She also incorporated the nursery workings into her routine i.e whereas with a regular nanny, they loosely plan activities each day, asquith nannies have to do formal planning, meal plans, tracker books, observations etc.

Imo - and in hers too, it took away the freedom and scope for both herself and the child to be flexible. She wanted to become a nanny to spend more time with the children, but she found doing it through asquith, with all the added nursery extras that she had to do, she felt like - as with a nursery, she was constantly writing and noting things down.

This was one conversation, one time so Someone could come along and tell me i'm completely wrong. However, thats the reason she ended up as a deputy manager. She lasted around 5 months as an asquith nanny.
