Posted below in case I get the link wrong again :) :

Sam Gyimah, MP for East Surrey, has been appointed as the new minister responsible for childcare and early years. He replaces Elizabeth Truss, who has been appointed Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. He is a Vice-President of the National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy (NCYPE), and has also served as a school governor of an inner London school. In his first Parliamentary session as childcare minister on 21st July 2014, Mr Gyimah reiterated the government’s commitment to quality childcare saying that the Government felt that high quality childcare had a significant impact on development and drove social mobility.

He has a young son, so maybe that will help focus him on childcare and early education issues. He seems to have been active on the Education Bill, so education I guess is something he is concerned about.
