I am having to get a new DBS due to my last one not being part of teh update service.

A question on the form says: Position involves work with vulnerable groups at home adress...Yes or No

I am going to be a nanny looking after children in their home, do i click yes or no?

Gosh this is stress full any advice would be much appreciated!!

DBS News Sept 2013 covers this question, plus others from that section, so could be a useful read.

As a nanny you will not be caring for children at YOUR home, so you would cross NO on the form.

For the update service, as soon as you see the status change to Printing, try to apply for the update service. I think they have recently extended the time you can apply but only by a few additional days.

Though the question does not look the same, is it question 66?

Who is processing the form for you, are you doing it via Ofsted?

Ofsted/Capita DBS guide

Can not see mention of the question you refer to, are you not using the online system which auto fills in things based on job... Home Childcarer.

im doing it through a company called capita. It will be Ofsted who will be processing the form.

Found it, Section A on the Id Check form. Is that the bit you are doing? ID Check.
NO, as you are not caring for children at YOUR home. If you were a childminder then you would answer yes as you would be caring for children in your own home.

The question is on page 3 section A. I have ticked that i will be a home childcarer but the next question then says: Position involves work with vulnerable groups at home address?
