See if there is another company running first aid courses you can attend. Why do you want to quit? If you've paid for it, you can quit whenever you like, but you might regret it.

You can pay for first aid courses anytime. Some providers do them at weekends, evenings. You don't have to do the one your local authority arranges.

Put things on hold for a month if timing is not right. Though may be wise to ask local authority or Ofsted (if in England) what the time limit is to complete the CYPOP5. Your local authority may have part funded the training so there may be a time constraint for when it needs to be completed. Talk to them, you don't want to be in a position where you owe them money.
