Cost of live in nanny, N London

Could anyone give me a ballpark figure of salary and anything I might not have thought of?

Do live in nannies have all their food paid for by parents or just some of it? How does it generally work?

We have a fantastic live out nanny who I don't really want to change, but may need more hours and I suspect there comes a point (given that we have the space) where live-in becomes more economical

I'm not sure tbh as we're in the early stages too but are going through French Nanny London and they have been extremely helpful so far.

When I was live in I ate all meals at the house usually, which meant my bosses paid for my food. I made a handful of special requests (which they encouraged) but generally found things to eat from their weekly grocery shop. I often ate the same evening meal as the children.

Hi dietcokefan, not sure if you're still interested but I live in North London and pay my live-in nanny £375p/w net for 5 days. 8am-6.45pm

For that I get two nights babysitting (one weekend night a fortnight)

She does all the meals for the family (very unusual) and we pay for things like diet coke etc. At the weekends if she's around she helps herself to food in the house.

Otherwise we've always paid for the food in the house (basics) and if they want things like pizza for themselves, they've bought it.

We also pay for travelcard and annual passes for zoo, natural history museum, and merlin pass. And will pay for train fare if they go to Chessington/Legoland as well.
