Hi There,

Im currently looking for my mindees, preferably an under 1 and two under 5s and was just wondering exactly what equiptment i will need.

Do mums supply anything or do i need to buy changing mat, high chair, push chair, bouncers etc and how many toys should i buy? my partner has two children aged 9 and 4 so we have a few infant toys but not sure how many i will need.

Thank you

Carly x

You will need your own stuff

You might need a double buggy, prob a travel cot and up to 3 highchairs???

I wouldn't buy anything until you get a child

How long have you been regiatered?

Hiya,

Been registered just over a week, so do you think i should buy my stuff as I go along then?

Put some ads in the local supermarket and newsagent yesterday so just waiting for the phone to ring, and then i can hand my notice in at work!

Took me 8 mths to find work, I live in an area with lots of childminders... try freecycle... quite a lot of people getting rid of double buggies highchairs etc.. also try your local netmums, I just bought a double buggy for £20.. good luck xxx

Carly - really don't don't anything until you have a firm booking

It could take a while
You might end up with 3 under 5 instead of 2 under 5 and 1 under 1
You might end up with afterschool children and no babies

Wait & see - make a list so if a 6mo turns up...you know what to buy & if a 10 yo turns up you know what to buy

Don't spend any money until you definately have the child (ie the first months money fro the mum)

do you need a link? for the netmums?? or freecycle?? also at the moment tesco are having a sale on kids outdoor toys I heard.

I think mine took a while as there is loads of competition here, I have someone starting this tues... can't wait
