Hey everyone,
New here! I am a qualified nursery nurse and just undertaking my first ever nanny job. Working with a lovely little 8 month old.

So basically, I'm just wondering if there's any advice and support I can take from you guys to help me provide the best care possible! And the most fun experiences!

Thanks!

Have fun, go to play groups and talk to other adults when you're out and about :)

Babies are lovely, they grow up fast though so enjoy the baby stage. As with nursery, some days will be better than others.

Get out and about, can be very lonely as a nanny. Find baby/toddler groups - SureStart Children's Centres can be useful, also village/community halls. Keep an eye out for what is happening in your local area, children love seeing new things. Wear baby - front/back carrier or a sling can be great.

Are you finding that it is different from working in nursery - in a nice way, or are there things you miss from nursery... lunch break?
