CM & Shingles

Been feeling a bit meh for the last week or so, but that's not unusual as I've been off on hols & I always seem to get ill when I'm not working. Got up this morning & I've got a weird blistery rash on my side. Hoping it's an insect bite as I was out in garden yesterday, but dh (who knows more about these things) things it looks like Shingles. Think guidelines say I can still work as long as it's covered & I feel up to it. Anyone here had it & if so, did you close? Got 6 lo's from Tuesday next week ages 16m - 4y. Tia.

I have had shingles twice and it is really painful. I had to carry on looking after my kids though. Do you feel able to give them the same attention as when you aren't ill? (Just a mum btw, not a cm.)

If you think you have shingles then I'd advise you to go see the out of hours GP tomorrow as they can give you an anti viral tablet that reduces the risk of you having long term pain problems. I don't think you can have any of your mindees until the rash has scabbed over as they could catch chicken pox from you. You also need to avoid pregnant women. GP should also be able to give you advice.
